Folders #CENCO

In this vibrant tribute, Father Jean-Marie Konde salutes the departure of Professor Léonard Santedi from the rectorship of UCC on July 27, 2026. Between memories of seminary and pastoral collaborations, he paints the portrait of a model elder, a builder of excellence and a major scientific figure of the universal Church.

The opening of an inclusive national dialogue by President Félix Tshisekedi marks a historic turning point. Welcomed by the Church (CENCO and ECC), this initiative is a response to the security crisis in the East. Father Jean-Marie Konde, a priest from Kinshasa, calls on the political class to rise above partisan interests to build a lasting, unified peace.

In the DRC, the constitutional debate is dividing the people and shaking the Church. Faced with Kananga's position, Father Jean-Marie Konde urges the clergy to align themselves with the CENCO (National Episcopal Conference of Congo) through prudence and unity. He reminds them that the eternal mission of the priest transcends obsolescence and the narrow confines of political mandates.
