Central Kasai: Discovering the Petit Séminaire de Kabwe; a school of vocation and citizenship for almost a century. The Petit Séminaire de Kabwe is a house of formation that welcomes and supervises young boys aged 12 to 18, called "Petits Séminaristes." Its main mission is to prepare young people for the ministerial priesthood, while contributing to forming responsible citizens for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Officially founded in 1928, the seminary has its origins in 1921, in Mikalayi Mfuki, under the leadership of the Scheutist fathers of the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (CICM). It was later transferred to the sacred hill of Kabwe, where it was established as an institution. The establishment offers two teaching options: scientific and literary, combining academic rigor and spiritual formation.

Currently, the Kabwe Minor Seminary is approaching 100 years of existence since its establishment in Kabwe. It is already celebrating 97 years of history, notably with an octogenarian library, a testament to its rich intellectual heritage. The year 2028 will mark the centenary of this leading institution, a major event that will bring together former seminarians, clergy, educators, and various personalities.
