In January 2026, Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo, President of SECAM, undertook a strategic tour of West Africa. After a stop in Benin, he met with the leadership of Caritas Africa in Lomé on January 21. From January 21 to 24, he chaired the SECAM Standing Committee meeting in Accra.

Received at Ivato International Airport located 16 km northwest of Antananarivo by protocol, His Eminence Fridolin Cardinal Ambongo met with a warm welcome some members of the Church of Madagascar composed of two bishops, priests, religious men and women. After the airport, the President of SCEAM went to greet the members of the CMM (Episcopal Conference of Madagascar) who were gathered in the bishops' hall.
