During a mass celebrated by the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Bangui this Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Bangui, more than two hundred lay faithful from different parishes of the Archdiocese of Bangui were admitted to the ministry of the lectorate. This is the fifth edition for the Archdiocese of Bangui.

From January 4 to 11, 2025, the Bishops of Cameroon are meeting in Buea for their 48th annual seminar. This seminar is being held at the Bishop Pius AWA Pastoral Center. After the opening on January 4, the Bishops of Cameroon attended the consecration of the Divine Mercy Co-Cathedral on Sunday, January 5. This dedication was carried out by Monsignor Michaël BIBI, Bishop of Buea.

Monsignor Fulgence MUTEBA, Metropolitan Archbishop of Lubumbashi, proceeded this Sunday, January 5, 2025, to the canonical erection of the parish Blessed Isidore Bakanja, its dedication and the installation of its priests. The triple ceremony took place on the solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord.

On Sunday, January 5, 2025, Sunday of the solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord, coinciding with the Day of Missionary Childhood in the Church of the Family of God, also known as the Pontifical Work of the Holy Childhood, a mass was said at Saint Peter's Square of the Saint Paul Cathedral Parish of Uvira by His Excellency Bishop Sébastien-Joseph MUYENGO MULOMBE. Children from different deaneries took part in this Eucharistic celebration.

Since the beginning of the year 2024, the Church of God in Central Africa had opened the jubilee of the 130th anniversary of the evangelization of the nation. Apart from multiple activities organized in the different dioceses, it was from the 3rd to the 5th that everything was focused on the national level to celebrate and close this great moment.

The Bishop of Basankusu, Monsignor Liberius PWONGO BOPE, ordained 5 new Deacons and 4 new Priests on behalf of his Diocese on this day when he celebrates his 33 years of priestly ordination. The ceremony took place during the Mass he presided over at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul of Basankusu, this Saturday, January 4, 2025.

By the initiative of Father Liévin, priest of the Saint Joseph parish of Ndim, the bridge was fully financed for its rehabilitation on December 30, 2024 as a New Year's gift for all its inhabitants. By making a strident appeal to its Christians as well as to men and women of good will, especially technicians, to come and lend them a hand, the bridge was plated with dignity. A joint work that mobilized the inhabitants from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
