Obala, Lobo, Nkolveme, Cameroon. From August 14 to 16, 2026, Bishop Sosthène Léopold Bayemi presided over Eucharistic celebrations, inaugurated the Marian grotto "Cenacle of Pentecost" and confirmed 28 young people in the Christian faith.

The visit began on August 14 in Lobo, where the bishop celebrated Mass at the parish of Saint Michael the Archangel. In his homily, he highlighted Saint Maximilian Kolbe, a model of self-sacrifice, and exhorted the faithful to live in fidelity and trust in God. The following day, the Feast of the Assumption, he inaugurated the parish's Marian grotto, inviting Christians to contemplate Mary as a sign of resurrection and a model of faith.

On August 16, in Nkolveme, the community welcomed its bishop for a pontifical Mass. A highlight of the day was the reception of the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation for 28 young people. In his homily, Bishop Bayemi emphasized the concrete witness of Christians and the call to live together in harmony. He reminded them that communion with God is expressed through communion among people, urging the faithful to overcome divisions and build a strong fraternity.

This pastoral weekend profoundly impacted the communities of Lobo and Nkolveme. Between celebrations, inaugurations, and confirmations, Bishop Bayemi renewed the missionary zeal and faith of the faithful.

A fitting adage : Fidelity lived in community makes Christian hope grow.
