Le 2 août 2026, l'évêque d'Uvira, Mgr Sébastien Joseph Muyengo, a célébré ses 40 ans de sacerdoce en ordonnant trois prêtres et un diacre. La cérémonie, marquée par l'érection de la paroisse de Kazimiya, s'est conclue par la lecture d'un message fort du Dr Denis Mukwege pour la justice en RDC.
