Si le Fils de Dieu s’est incarné, c’est pour permettre à l’humanité de se lier à la vie divine grâce à l’Esprit Saint qu’il répand sur nous. C’est cet Esprit qui illumine certains hommes pour poursuivre, dans l’Eglise, la mission du Fils qui est Un avec son Père. C'est la méditation que nous proposons ce sixième dimanche de Pâques.

In the Passion of Christ according to Saint John, there is a remarkable revelation of the divine nature of the Son. Yet he learned to obey in order to bring salvation. His suffering had no meaning for those around him. He was a mere condemned man. But Christ takes the destiny of humanity into his own hands with complete lucidity.

The celebration of the Chair of Saint Peter in the Church is a call confirming the foundation stone of the Church's faith which is based on Jesus Christ, Son of God; it also reminds us of the place occupied by Saint Peter the Apostle (with his successors) among the apostles.
