Saint Francis de Sales (1567–1622) is one of the most prominent figures of the Catholic Church, known as a priest, bishop, writer, and Doctor of the Church. Born at the Château de Sales in Thorens-Glières, Savoy (present-day France), he devoted his life to the Catholic faith and the service of souls.
