VATICAN ET PAPE LEON XIV #Mattarella

From July 20 to 26, 2026, Pope Leo XIV combined retreat at Castel Gandolfo with diplomacy. After pilgrimages to Vallepietra and Subiaco, he wrote to the bishops of Asia and warned young people about AI. At the Angelus, he expressed his support for France and Spain in the face of the fires and called for peace in Gaza and Lebanon.

Faced with so much global turmoil, Pope Leo tirelessly appeals for peace in war-torn areas. This October has been marked by several messages urging political leaders to work for peace, and he has met with some of these leaders.
