In the Paul VI Hall, Pope Francis, during the General Audience of this Wednesday, January 8, 2025, addressed the issue of the scourge of child labor. He promised to continue the same theme at the next General Audience.

The day of December 11, 2024 was occupied by the General Audience, by the meeting of His Holiness with the delegation of the non-profit organization ResQ - People Saving People and by his exchange with the members of the Human Economic Forum Movement.

At today's general audience, the Holy Father began a new cycle of catechesis centered on Jesus our hope because he "is himself the way, the path to follow, the goal of our pilgrimage." Through the Gospel of Matthew describing the genealogy of Jesus, the Holy Father pointed out that through Jesus a new lineage was born. Through multiple examples of biblical characters constituting the ancestors of Jesus with real names until everything ends and blossoms in Mary and in Christ.
