On the morning of Saturday, June 28, 2025, Monsignor Nestor Désiré Nongo, Bishop of the Diocese of Bossangoa in the Central African Republic, left the city of Bangui in his car, steering wheel in hand, after a long journey from Alindao where he had participated in the ordinary session of the bishops, to take the road to his diocese located more than 350 km from Bangui. After nearly 5 hours of driving, the Bishop of Bossangoa saw his bishop again.
The following day, Sunday, June 29, 2025, the Bishop took the wheel again to head to a chapel of the Saints Peter and Paul parish located 25 km from the town of Bossangoa in the village of Bolangba. Welcomed by the faithful who were eagerly awaiting him, Bishop Nestor Désiré Nongo blessed the new chapel by celebrating the Eucharist. On this Sunday dedicated to the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, His Excellency urged the faithful to imbue themselves with the meaning of the Church by living as true missionaries.
After the Mass, the celebration brought together the parish priest of Saints Peter and Paul and the accompanying team, the city authorities, the catechist and the inhabitants of the surrounding villages around the bishop.
