Since the beginning of the year 2024, the Church of God in Central Africa had opened the jubilee of the 130th anniversary of the evangelization of the nation. Apart from multiple activities organized in the different dioceses, it was from the 3rd to the 5th that everything was focused on the national level to celebrate and close this great moment.

The day after the celebration of Saint Mary Mother of God, on Thursday, January 2, 2025, His Eminence Dieudonné Cardinal Nzapalainga met with all the pastoral agents working in the Archdiocese of Bangui at the Paproisse Saint Paul des Rapides, one of the historical jewels of the Central African Church.

After his pilgrimage to the Ngoukomba sanctuary in the Archdiocese of Bangui, His Excellency Monsignor Libère Pwongo, Bishop of Basankusu, quickly returned to his diocese to take communion with his faithful on December 16, the day of his first anniversary of episcopal ordination and taking canonical possession.

A year after his departure from Bangui, Monsignor Libère Pwongo, taking advantage of the diocesan pilgrimage of Ngoukomba, returns to the traces of his history to give thanks to God. It is since yesterday Tuesday December 3, 2024 that he has been staying in Bangui. On this day, December 4, 2024, he was welcomed at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception of Bangui, with other pilgrims, during the sending mass on pilgrimage that His Eminence Dieudonné Cardinal Nzapalainga celebrated.
