On January 27, 2026, the Saint-Charles-Lwanga parish in Bégoua hosted the second part of a major training session on the management of parish councils (CPP and CAEP), led by the Vicar General, Father Mathieu Fabrice Evrard Bodonbo. This session, based on new directives from the Archdiocese of Bangui, clarified the roles of pastoral leadership and financial responsibility for the councilors of the Notre-Dame d'Afrique deanery.

For quite some time now, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception of Bangui has been rekindling joy in the hearts of children in difficult situations to celebrate Christmas. As soon as the Advent High Point begins, the parish, through the parish youth office (CPPJ), shares envelopes with the faithful to collect the funds needed to celebrate more than two hundred children on Christmas Day by offering them food, juice, water and gifts.
