During a mass celebrated by the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Bangui this Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Bangui, more than two hundred lay faithful from different parishes of the Archdiocese of Bangui were admitted to the ministry of the lectorate. This is the fifth edition for the Archdiocese of Bangui.

It was on January 16, 2025 that the traditional ceremony of the exchange of vows took place at the beginning of the calendar year. Priests, consecrated persons and lay people around His Excellency Monsignor José-Bernard LIKOLO, the ordinary of the place, met at the Saint Amand convent of the Brothers of Saint Joseph of Lisala from 4:30 p.m. to fraternize and say good things to each other.
