Clôturant leur assemblée plénière ce 26 février 2026 à Kinshasa, les évêques de la CENCO ont lancé un appel pressant à la paix. Face à l'insécurité persistante dans l'Est, l'épiscopat exhorte au sursaut national et définit les nouvelles priorités pastorales de l'Église congolaise.

Réunis à Kinshasa sous l'égide de Mgr Fulgence Muteba, les évêques de la CENCO réclament un dialogue inclusif et un pacte social pour contrer la balkanisation. Mgr Donatien Nshole a réaffirmé l'urgence de restaurer la confiance nationale et la sécurité, tout en assurant le suivi de l’UCC.
