John Bosco was born on August 16, 1815 in Castelnuovo d'Asti, a village in Piedmont, Italy (today Castelnuovo Don Bosco). He was the last of three sons of Francis Louis Bosco and Marguerite Occhiena, poor peasants. His father died when he was only 2 years old, leaving his mother alone to raise her three sons. From his childhood, John showed great intelligence and a particular sensitivity to others.

Thomas Aquinas was born in 1225 in the family castle of Roccasecca, near Aquinas, Italy. His family belonged to the nobility and had close relations with the papacy and the Holy Roman Emperor. The youngest of a large family, he was destined for an ecclesiastical career. At the age of 5, he was sent as an oblate to the Benedictine abbey of Monte Cassino.

He is buried in the basilica that he had built in honor of the apostles Saint Peter and Saint Paul, which later became the Basilica of Saint Remi in Reims.

Born around 315 in Poitiers, Gaul (present-day France), Hilary grew up in a changing world, where Christianity was beginning to take hold in the Roman Empire. He belonged to a noble and pagan family, which allowed him to receive a solid education, particularly in philosophy and rhetoric. These disciplines would mark his theological style.

This choice is mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 6:1-6). Stephen was known for his wisdom, deep faith, and missionary zeal. He preached courageously in favor of Jesus Christ.
