The Catholic University of Congo (UCC) held its official launch ceremony for the 2025-2026 doctoral academic year on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Limete Campus. In his address, Professor Father Dieudonné Tebangasa , Director of the Doctoral School, presented the new guidelines stemming from Ministerial Decree No. 134 of October 21, 2025, marking a significant step in revitalizing the UCC Doctoral School. The ceremony took place in the presence of the Administrative Secretary General, Professor Father Martinien Bosokpale .
The highlights of the morning were: the speech by the Director of the Doctoral School; the intervention by the SGAD; the conference on understanding and appropriating the Ministerial Decree; the exchanges with the doctoral students and the solemn opening of the doctoral year by the Chief of Staff of Her Excellency the Minister of Higher Education , who officially represented her.
Following the ceremony, the Minister's Chief of Staff visited the office of the Rector of UCC to pay his respects. With this academic year opening, UCC reaffirms its commitment to providing rigorous, structured doctoral training tailored to current scientific requirements.
