Continuing the program of his 15 years of priesthood in Kinshasa, Father Jean-Marie Konde celebrated this Saturday, September 21, 2024, the mass at the Saint Etienne parish with the students of the Institut de la Colline de Kisenso. This institute is the school where Father Konde obtained his baccalaureate in 1996. Twenty-eight years later, on the occasion of his 15 years of priesthood, this mass dedicated to the Holy Spirit was also the occasion of the opening of the 2024-2025 school year for the Institut de la Colline.

It was with emotion and heartache that we learned on Monday, August 26, 2024 in Kinshasa, the sad news of the unexpected death of His Excellency Monsignor Dominique Bulamatari, Bishop Emeritus of Molegbe. As misfortune does not always come alone, it is also with dismay that we subsequently learned the news of the death, also in Kinshasa, on Monday, September 9, 2024 of Father Henry Hunda, parish priest of the Saint Fidèle parish of Abuzi. Once again, the irrevocable constitutive of being, death, manifested itself by plunging our diocese into affliction.

The Archdiocese of Bangui is moving to the rhythm of the 2024-2025 pastoral year that His Eminence Cardinal Dieudonné Nzapalainga, Metropolitan Archbishop of Bangui, has just opened this Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Bangui. It will end on September 20, 2024 to make way on Saturday for the preparation of the great closing mass of the year, priestly ordinations and the official opening of the 2024-2025 pastoral year.

It was on January 17, 2024 that His Holiness Pope Francis appointed a bishop to head the Diocese of Wamba in the DRC. Monsignor Donatien Nshole, Secretary General of CENCO and Chaplain of His Holiness Pope Francis did not go there with the back of the dead hand during his last descent into this arbitrarily divided terrain. During his pastoral ministry, Father Jean-Marie KONDE moved to the parish of Saint Jean-Baptiste as parish vicar in the pastoral year 2016-2017. By agreement of the parish priest Father Rigobert Muyuka with the collaboration of the outgoing parish vicar Father François Kitiaka, Father Jean-Marie was welcomed this Sunday, September 8 at the 6:30 a.m. mass (Zairian Rite)

Since his death on the commemorative day of the Curé d'Ars (August 4, 2024), the Archbishop of Lome has just been buried this Saturday, September 7, 2024, after several prayer activities organized at the level of the particular Church of Lome so that all the faithful take the time to say goodbye to their archbishop.
