Isaiah puts divine authority in its place in a society where authorities prefer to form coalitions with foreigners. Instead of the Jews focusing on justice for the good of all, they spend their time in false securities (coalition and fortification of Jerusalem). It is the human method that often forgets the One who grants power and salvation. How many of us cry out that all authority comes from God (Rom 13:1) without walking on the path of this God who grants it?
