At today's general audience, the Holy Father began a new cycle of catechesis centered on Jesus our hope because he "is himself the way, the path to follow, the goal of our pilgrimage." Through the Gospel of Matthew describing the genealogy of Jesus, the Holy Father pointed out that through Jesus a new lineage was born. Through multiple examples of biblical characters constituting the ancestors of Jesus with real names until everything ends and blossoms in Mary and in Christ.
