Sur le Thabor, Jésus nous révèle sa gloire : il est la Manne véritable qui soutient notre marche et la puissance de la foi qui transforme nos cœurs. Portés par l'adage « la patience soutient le toit de la gloire », marchons vers le pèlerinage en transfigurant, dès cette semaine, le visage d'un frère souffrant par un acte de charité concret.

Le Carême est un temps de désaliénation. Au désert, là où nos solutions humaines échouent, le Christ nous apprend à briser les idoles du confort et du pouvoir. Ces 40 jours nous font passer de nos prisons intérieures à la vraie liberté. Soyons vigilants : ce combat purifie notre foi pour faire de nous des ressuscités.

La Parole que nous recevons en ce 6ème dimanche nous place au sommet de la montagne. Après les Béatitudes, le Seigneur Jésus entre aujourd’hui dans le sanctuaire de notre conscience. Il vient nous parler de la Loi, non pas comme d’un règlement qui écrase, mais comme d’une boussole qui libère.

Être sel et lumière n'est pas un privilège, mais l'engagement de passer d'une foi qui réclame à une foi qui donne. La vraie liberté naît du partage et du service envers l'opprimé. Ne cherchons plus de miracles : par la force du Christ, devenons nous-mêmes le miracle de Dieu pour les autres !

Today we begin the month of February, and the Word of God confronts us with a fundamental question: Where do we seek our happiness? In a world marked by adversity, injustice, and illness, Christ invites us not to be discouraged. Today he climbs the mountain to reveal his secret to us: the Beatitudes.

On this Sunday of the Word of God, Christ calls us to leave our securities to bring the Gospel to the "peripheries." Following the example of John the Baptist's self-effacement, Jesus' missionary zeal towards Galilee of the Gentiles, and the radical renunciation of the first apostles, we are invited to become bearers of light.

On this second Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year A), the figure of John the Baptist invites us to recognize in Jesus the true Lamb of God. Faithful to his mission prophesied by Isaiah, John presents to the world the One who transcends history: the eternal Word incarnate, the only Son of the Father and the universal Savior.

Through his baptism, Jesus, the Word made flesh by the intervention of the Holy Spirit, covers us with grace so that we may hear his Father reveal to us: “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Let us be witnesses to the baptism received on this Feast of the Baptism of our Lord Jesus.

On the solemnity of the Epiphany, let us advance today with the gold of our submission to the King whose reign has no end, with the incense of our piety for he is truly God born of the true God, with the myrrh of our solidarity for he is truly Man compassionate to our humanity.

Today, through his newborn fragility, Jesus reveals to us that true power comes from humility; through her listening, Mary teaches us that the family is strengthened through harmony and unity; through his obedience, Joseph teaches us that the family is safe from all danger through listening to and sharing the Word of God. Through his incarnation, may Christ save the families of the earth.

Waiting is a path that demands patience and perseverance. When we know the value of the person or thing awaited, our hearts rejoice constantly with the desire to see the promises fulfilled. This is the very reason for our wonder in waiting on this third Sunday of Advent.

Savor this wonder: "What was foretold by Isaiah (Isaiah 40:3) eight centuries before was fulfilled through the voice of John the Baptist. His ease was of no importance, for he was concerned with the inner peace of each soul. The gravity of his message shook his listeners to the point where the necessity of conversion became imperative. It is to us that this message of the Second Sunday of Advent is proclaimed today: "No ignorance should cloud our vision before the coming of the One who baptizes us in the Spirit and by fire; He is the Supreme Judge of history. Happy Sunday."
