VATICAN ET PAPE LEON XIV #Léon XIV

The fifth World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly will be celebrated on July 27, 2025. On this occasion, Pope Leo XIV delivered his message from June 26, 2025 under the theme: “Blessed is he who has not lost hope” (cf. Sir 14:2).

Since the publication of the Encyclical Laudato Si by Pope Francis on May 24, 2025, a World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation has been declared. This year, 2025, the Church will celebrate the tenth. Pope Leo delivered a message to this effect.

Since his election as head of the Church, Pope Leo XIV has made several important appointments. Here are four of them for May 2025.

Le Pape Léon XIV a ouvert aujourd'hui la catéchèse publique pendant sa première audience générale depuis la dernière sous le Pape François le 16 avril 2025. Le Pape Léon poursuit le thème de Jésus notre espérance abordé par son prédécesseur le 18 décembre 2024. C'est sur la parabole du semeur que sa méditation s'est basée (cf. Mt 13, 1-17).

Plus de 200 000 fidèles ont participé à la célébration eucharistique pour le début du ministère pétrinien de l’évêque de Rome Léon XIV à la place Saint-Pierre ce dimanche 18 mai 2025.
