This small seminary is located in the territory of KABARE, more than 40 km from the city of Bukavu in the DRC. It was officially established on October 30, 1924 with 90 students enrolled. The team of first trainers was composed of Father Michel DESPLENTER (professor and bursar) and Father Stefano KAOZE (professor) who is also the first Congolese priest in the DRC.

On October 1, 2024, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Bangui was covered with red scarves, symbols of the legionaries in the Archdiocese of Bangui, for the opening mass of the month of the Rosary. The nine deacons called to priestly ordination were in seclusion since Sunday, September 22, 2024 at the Nganda Catholic Center with their facilitator Father Arthur Ponde under the theme: Priestly ministry and synodality: path of communion and service for a church on the move. Under the leadership of Monsignor Carlos Ndaka, auxiliary bishop and Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Kinshasa, the nine ordinands made their profession of faith in the chapel of the Nganda Catholic Center on Friday, September 26, 2024.
